Plasma surface modification and plasma deposition are widely used commercially to tailor surface properties of many different types of materials. The spectral detail presented in this applications note using an AXIS spectrometer with excellent charge neutralisation in combination with a high energy resolution monochromatic x-ray source provides useful characterisation of the surface chemistry.
